Where does the noise from the trailer generator set come from
According to the working principle of the combustion chamber trailer generator set, the generation of noise is very complex. At the cause and location of the occurrence, the noise of the trailer generator set may include the following parts:
1) Trailer generator set internal combustion engine exhaust noise. That is to say, the exhaust channel noise and exhaust noise of internal combustion engines are high-temperature, high-speed pulsating airflow noise, which is the energy and component of the noise, far higher than the mechanical noise of intake noise and gas radiation. They are the main part of the total noise and the focus of noise control. Its basic frequency is the ignition frequency of the internal combustion engine.
2) Trailer generator set intake noise. The noise from the air intake of the box mainly includes noise from the silent trailer generator, generator, and airflow. Due to the passive inflow of air and its distance from the main noise source, the noise level is relatively low compared to other locations, resulting in a smaller required noise reduction.
3) Trailer generator set exhaust noise. That is to say, it is the noise from the box discharge port. The main components of exhaust noise are exhaust noise, airflow noise, fan noise, machine noise, internal combustion engine combustion noise, etc. There are many noise sources and high noise levels, and the strong exhaust cooling of the generator in a silent RV will increase the outward flow of noise, making noise control more difficult.
