Advantages of high-voltage generators
Compared to low-voltage generators, high-voltage generators have the following advantages:
1. The power of a generator can reach several kilowatts, or even tens of thousands of kilowatts. This is because when outputting the same power, the current of a high-voltage generator can be much smaller than that of a low-voltage generator. Therefore, high-voltage generator windings can use smaller line diameters. Therefore, the stator copper loss of high-voltage generators will also be smaller than that of low-voltage generators. For high-power generators, when using a low-voltage power source, a larger stator slot is required because thicker wires are needed, resulting in a very large diameter of the stator core and a larger volume of the entire generator.
2. For large capacity generators, the overall investment in the power supply and distribution equipment used by high-voltage generators is smaller than that of low-voltage generators, resulting in lower line losses and a certain amount of electricity consumption savings. Especially, the 10KV high-voltage generator can be directly used in the power grid, so the investment in power equipment will be reduced, the use will become simpler, and the failure rate will be reduced.
